Day 2: Verdon Lakes & Moustiers-Sainte-Marie

The day begins at viewpoint of the Gréoux damoffering a remarkable panorama of the Verdon. Then, on to a Electric boat trip between Esparron and Quinson, to gently explore the most secret gorges of the Verdon, in the heart of preserved landscapes.

À Quinson, the visit of Verdon Gorges Prehistory Museum allows you to discover fascinating collections and reconstructions of prehistoric lifestyles. Lunch is served at Notre-Dame Relay, a former coaching inn with a warm atmosphere.

The afternoon continues at Sainte-Croix-du-VerdonThe visit to the House of Water and the Valley, museum space, is dedicated to the history and environmental issues of the Verdon.

Then head to Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France. A guided tour delve into the history of the village, its renowned earthenware and its legends.

The afternoon leads to CastellaneA charming village and gateway to the Verdon Gorge. Stroll through the narrow streets overlooked by the Roc, before discovering the House of Country Products.

The night passes at Hotel du Commerce***, in the heart of the village, where you can appreciate the warm atmosphere and traditional cuisine of the restaurant.

Day 4: Annot & Entrevaux, towns of character

Last step to AnnotA village designated as a Village and Town of Character, nestled at the foot of the famous sandstone hills. One is charmed by its cobbled streets, fountains and preserved medieval heritage.

The stay ends at Entrevaux, a spectacular fortified city. We pass through the royal gate and its drawbridge to stroll through the medieval streets, discover the cathedral, the clock tower and the citadel perched on its rocky spur.

Lunch is planned at The Planet Inn, in the heart of the city, around a traditional cuisine prepared from local products.

End of the stay in the Alpes de Haute Provence and its Verdon villages, with the possibility of extend the experience on board the Train des Pignes to Nice, a legendary line offering spectacular panoramas all along the route.
