The Star Nautical Base
Located just 10 minutes from Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, the Étoile water sports center is renowned for its geographical location. very close to the exit of the Verdon Gorges, at the Galetas bridge, which connects the departments of Alpes de Haute Provence and Var.

La Cadeno beach
Among the most beautiful beaches on the lake, La Cadeno is a must-see. From spring to the end of summer you can also rent a boat there to enjoy a peaceful boat trip on the lake.
How to get there : From Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, follow the signs for Lac de Sainte-Croix. After a few kilometers, signs will guide you to La Cadeno. A track will lead you to a free parking area on the shores of the lake's turquoise waters.
Explore the Verdon Gorges
Lake Sainte-Croix is the starting point for exploring the Verdon Gorges in complete tranquility. Aboard a pedal boat, electric boat, canoe or kayak, you can navigate through these impressive gorges and admire this breathtaking scenery.Although swimming is prohibited, the Verdon Gorge remains a magical place to discover. You can explore up to two kilometers into the gorge. Buoys will indicate when to turn back.
Good to know
A prefectural decree also closes access by boat to the Verdon gorges in weather of strong winds or heavy rain. The best thing to do is to stay warm indoors or go visit the Moustiers Earthenware Museum or Museum of Prehistory of the Verdon Gorges !

Lake Sainte-Croix is located on the border between the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and Var departments. You can access it from the village of Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon or Moustiers-Sainte-Marie. The latter is just a 10-minute drive from the first beaches of Lake Sainte-Croix.
