A small, cozy cottage in a peaceful setting with a terrace and mountain views. Ideal for nature lovers, hikers, and sports enthusiasts. A privileged environment in all seasons: splendid sunsets in the summer and cozy evenings by the wood-burning stove in the winter.
No frills here, but the ultimate luxury: time, space and serenity.

❄️ Winter: Heating is provided solely by a wood-burning stove, reaching a maximum of 24°C, which is already very comfortable. Reduced mobility? Extremely sensitive to the cold? It's best to avoid this property.

Housing
☘️The accommodation is independent and not adjoining, therefore there is no noise or light pollution.

You will therefore have great peace and quiet and can also have fun, play music as loud as you want without disturbing anyone!

There are no neighbors overlooking the property, and the view of the mountains and fields is splendid. It's a delight in every season.

⛰️This tranquility is well-earned: we are at an altitude of 1100m, 10 minutes from the center of Castellane.

You will have a large, very bright living space thanks to the bay windows.

The kitchen, which opens onto the living room, is well-equipped. We ensure that basic necessities such as salt, pepper, sugar, oil, and vinegar are available.

☕️There's also always some coffee for the first few days. The coffee machine is a Delonghi percolator - ground coffee, there's also a French press coffee maker.

For eating, there is an indoor space next to the kitchen with four chairs, and an outdoor table with four chairs.

For sunny days there is a small electric grill, and two sun loungers available.
For winter, there is a soup giraffe and a small raclette machine for 2 people.

Important: Between mid-October and mid-March, heating is exclusively wood-burning. If you're not used to it, it's important to know that it requires regular maintenance and involves some handling: loading logs into the stove. It's a different way of life that requires more attention than electric heating with a control knob.

We provide the wood ☺️ (included in the rental price).

We have a smart TV, so you can connect your phone to it to get internet access, and use a Netflix or other account.

We live next door, in a separate house, so you won't be alone if you need anything :)

Access by travelers
You can only get to the location by car as there is unfortunately no public transport or taxi service.

A small mountain road allows you to reach the hamlet from the road to Lake Castillon.

On site, parking space, right next to the entrance of the accommodation.

Something to know for your stay in our little corner of paradise, perched high up in the mountains :))

-->WIFI: We are located in a white zone and therefore do not have Wi-Fi. The 4G network works very well via smartphone. The accommodation is equipped with a smart TV: you can connect USB, log into your Netflix or YouTube account, and browse the web using a 4G connection.

-->Since we live in a remote location, we have an effective alarm system: our dog Nouka :) Don't worry, she lives with us, our house is fenced, but you might hear her deep bark :)

--> Little extras on site:
We have a vegetable garden, depending on the season and the harvest, we can help you out with good vegetables.
We also have some chickens; just ask us in advance and we can sell you eggs ;)

-->Groceries: The supermarket in Castellane is very expensive; I advise you to plan your shopping in advance. Near Castellane: Digne-les-Bains, Grasse, Draguignan
During the warmer months, the Castellane market takes place every Wednesday and Saturday.
