Built in 1720, this XNUMXth-century castle, listed as a historic monument, is nicknamed the "little Trianon of Provence"; it is one of the rare examples of classical architecture in Provence.

Description

Welcome to Château de Sauvan!

Climb the majestic staircase, adorned with trompe-l'oeil frescoes, and let yourself be guided by the soft light that illuminates the nearly 40-meter-long gallery. Admire the portraits of old masters and historical figures.

In the music room, imagine the notes of an antique harp and a piano-forte still resonating in the room, witnesses to an elegant and refined past.

Push open the door to the billiard room, with its Directoire charm, where tapestries and furniture invite you to relax and dream.

Discover the Marquis's bedroom, carefully restored, where each tapestry tells a story, then the neighboring bedroom, that of the Marquise, a faithful friend of Marie-Antoinette, rich in silky fabrics and delicate portraits.

Take a break in the chapel, the castle's haven of peace, then admire the dining room with its magnificent collection of earthenware and its fireplace designed by Viollet-le-Duc.

End your visit in the grand salon, a true 18th-century gem, with its Murano chandelier, games table and coffee service offered by Napoleon.

Each piece invites you on a journey through time, to the heart of history and refinement.
