The villa was built in 1906 by Grenoble architect Francis Girard for Antoine Gras. Major interior renovations were carried out in 1987. The pleasure park dates back to the same period as the villa.
Description
The villa has a bow window on the ground floor, to the south, covered by a terrace and a recess to the northeast housing the office.
The modenature uses the Baroque language with the use of rectangular pediments and entablatures, projecting cornices and modillions.
The four elevations are distinct; the southern elevation is favored with the veranda. The dining room is treated as a bow window and the upper floors are occupied by the numerous bedrooms. The ridge, purse, finial and bull's-eye windows are made of zinc.
The interior features decorative painting, sculpture, and staffwork. There is a beautiful set of marble fireplaces.
The park includes an orchard, a vegetable garden, a central rotunda, French-pruned flowerbeds and rare species such as sequoia and Austrian black pine.
