Since 1981, Moustiers-Sainte-Marie has been listed among the Most Beautiful Villages in France. The church, ramparts, chapels, aqueduct, fountains, combinations of water and stone, and pastel shades of tiles and tufa create a harmonious and vibrant architectural ensemble. The gentle way of life that emanates from it naturally encourages respect and appreciation of this place, to discover and protect it. The work of the land, perpetuated for centuries, is the link between the history and the future of the village.

Authentic and alive

Today, Moustiers has approximately 700 inhabitants. The heart of its economy revolves around tourism and the earthenware tradition. The town has a large capacity. In addition to 750 campsites and a holiday village, 130 hotel rooms in the village center or on the outskirts, around twenty gîtes and guest rooms, and more than 50 furnished accommodations, it's easy to discover the local wonders beyond a quick trip. The various services will satisfy all desires and all budgets.
On the commercial side, artists' and craftsmen's shops sit alongside local services.
On the food side, around twenty restaurants satisfy gourmets and gourmands, lovers of refined gastronomy, brasseries or regional cuisine.
