Located on the left bank of the Vançon River after the Queen Jeanne Bridge, Saint Symphorien is an ochre color, the color of the sandstone present in the surrounding area.
Description
The medieval village, whose houses are built of sandstone, played a sentinel role and protected access to the entire valley. However, at the end of the Middle Ages, the land was emptied for a century.
It was repopulated around 1560 by families from elsewhere, who built at the crossroads of various paths, including that of the quatre vingt vaoutes ("the eighty laces" in Provençal).
