
Installed in 1627 in the church and cloistered house of Saint-Pierre, one of the four parishes of the city, of which the Romanesque oculus can still be seen, the Recollect brothers (reformed Franciscans) had an important convent here.
Description
Transformed into a prison, in 1851 the sub-prefect and the gendarmes who had rallied to the coup d'état of Napoleon III against the republican opinion of the Forcalquierens were locked up there.
