Formerly called Revest-Enfangat, Revest in fangatum, which can be translated as muddy lands brought back into cultivation, the village of Revest Saint Martin is in fact a group of three hamlets: Saint Martin, la Blache and le Revest.
Description
The village was deserted at the end of the 15th century, largely due to epidemics, then the offensive of Raymond de Turenne.
No castle was ever built in Revest-Saint Martin; only the Saint-André church, mentioned as early as 1152, bears witness to the ancient history of these hamlets.
