Located at an altitude of 349 m in the Durance Valley, opposite Oraison, this commune is at the crossroads of multiple transport routes. The village is known for its tulip fields, which bloom between late March and mid-April.
Description
The SNCF station was built in 1872 and represented a communication route in addition to the Durance river.
The village had a port where boats waited to cross the Durance towards Oraison. It was only in 1888, in the presence of Frédéric Mistral, that a 285-meter bridge between the two villages was built, opening up Oraison.
The Lauzon River flows under an old mule bridge, the "shepherd's bridge".
The Church of Saint Agatha was built in the 17th century.
You will also discover pretty fountains and wash houses.
