Border between the Blanche valley and the Bès valley, Le Vernet is a forest commune par excellence perched on a plateau at 1200m altitude and dominated by peaks exceeding 2000m altitude.

Description

The location of the village is an invitation to go for walks or hikes and to discover the Vernet monuments: the Bas-Vernet church, the St Marthe du Haut-Vernet church, the St Pancrace chapel and the St Roch oratory.

On the border between the "Grande Montagne" and Ubac mountain pastures, Le Vernet is a high place of pastoralism where, in summer, hundreds of animals migrate towards the summits.

The charming village hidden below the road is the guarantee of a nature break in the greatest calm, enough to recharge your batteries!
