The village of Lardiers is located in the heart of the lavender fields in summer, 12 km from Saint-Étienne-les-Orgues, 13 km from Banon, 17 km from Forcalquier.

Description

At the entrance to the village:
- old mill transformed into a stopover lodge
- large fountain decorated with an animal head evoking a lion, picnic area with tables and benches.
- Saint-Claude Chapel which dates from the end of the 17th century and was remodeled in the 19th century; it adjoins the cemetery.

In the village :

- The fountain, a favorite spot for many cyclists to refresh themselves after the steep climb, which backs onto the washhouse preceded by a recently renovated calade. This washhouse has the unique feature of having two levels: washerwomen could wash their clothes on their knees and then rinse them standing up.

- Square where the church of Sainte-Anne and the castle or rather the Commanderie are located. The church porch is listed: it is flanked by two columns topped with Carolingian-style capitals. In the Commanderie park, a magnificent sequoia formed from two twin trunks.

- Lose yourself in the alleys of the old village.
You can eat at the Café de la Lavande - Chez Mojo, the first Bistrot de Pays created.

From there you can go down to the Granges district or go up the Garouyère: there you will find the multi-purpose hall, a sports ground and another children's playground.

The climb up the Garouyère - the old Saint-Vincent path - can take you, if you are good walkers, to the Gros Chêne, the most famous tree in Lardiers.
