Sheltered behind the walls of the city's fortifications and along the Var River, several exhibitions bear witness to the traditions, customs and history of the Entrevalais.
Description
A journey to the heart of local memory
Sheltered by the ramparts of Entrevaux, along the Var River, an unusual route awaits you. Following the old rampart walk, once used to connect the Porte de France to the Porte d'Italie, you'll pass through numerous vaulted passages steeped in history.
Throughout the walk, exhibitions and panels immerse you in the traditions, customs and daily life of the Entrevalais: inhabitants, artists and soldiers who have left their mark on the city.
The visit ends with the discovery of one of the two bastions designed by Vauban, where an annual exhibition – in partnership with the Écomusée de la Roudoule – addresses various aspects of the culture and heritage of the surrounding valleys.
