It is one of the oldest, along with the one on Rue Joseph Latil. There is an architectural similarity.
Description
The fountain is made of cut stone blocks. It is simple and rustic. Its basin is rectangular in shape with two copper cannons.
It is prior to 1654.
It was judiciously located because it supplied water to the residents of the district but also ran along the Oraison – Le Castellet road.
It was a very busy road.
Its condition is original.
The roof and capitals were redone in 1991.
