The village church, dedicated to Saint-Martin, is located on the old fulling grounds, at the tip of the Castelleras hill.

Description

It is listed in the Supplementary Inventory of Historic Monuments.
Two construction periods mark the building and give it a surprising charm. The main nave, covered with a pointed barrel vault, dates from the 12th century and is attributed to the southern Romanesque style. Blind arcades with double rollers enliven its wall. It ends with an oriented chevet, vaulted in a half-dome.
In the 14th century, the expansion of the south aisle and the Saint-Martin chapel completed the construction of the transept. The church has a Latin cross plan. The ribbed vaults of the aisle and the chapel rest on historiated corbels. They depict allegories of sins, faces, and floral motifs. This second phase of work is attributed to the Gothic style.
A striking pyramidal stone bell tower crowns the church and brings harmony to the volumes. While stone bell towers were once common in Provence, they were often struck by lightning, and the one on the church of Saint Martin is no exception.
At the end of the 1852th century, an Aix-en-Provence painter, Michel Gibelin (Marseille-1909/Gréoux-les-Bains-XNUMX), created a series of large paintings of the church. These paintings have the particularity of adapting and integrating into the architectural setting. The canvases perfectly fit the blind arcades. The work of this artist is remarkable in every way. He treats in very different styles famous episodes from the life of Saint Martin, the Virgin Mary and the Bible. Michel Gibelin's paintings have been classified as Historic Monuments and some have been restored.
In the 60s, the writer Jean Giono from Manosque married his daughter in this church, accompanied by many Saint-Martinois in Provençal costumes.
