It is at this precise location that the ancient village of Montclar was located throughout the Middle Ages and it was at the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries that the inhabitants gradually deserted this uncomfortable and difficult to access site.

Description

It was built on the site of the first church in the village. The title can only date from the 1846th century, because devotion to Notre Dame de La Salette (name given to the Virgin Mary by Catholics) was only established after her appearance in 1864, in front of two children at the top of the village. from La Salette-Fallavaux, near Corps in Isère.
