An imposing building, half feudal (13th century keep), half Renaissance, listed as a Historic Monument, as is its park. A key site in Provençal history, it was built by the Castellane family.

Description

Built on the banks of the Colostre River in Allemagne-en-Provence, this listed castle combines a medieval keep, a Renaissance manor house, and Provençal charm. Built in the 1586th century by the Castellane family, it was the scene of significant events, such as in 1945, when Jeanne de Grasse valiantly resisted a sixteen-day siege. Over the centuries, the castle evolved, adorned with round towers, elegant sculpted windows, and a vast interior courtyard. Restored in the XNUMXth century and transformed into a colony after XNUMX, it is now a private property open to the public. A place steeped in history to discover between the Verdon and its heritage.
