In the heart of Banon, Le Bleuet bookstore is a true cultural treasure. Founded in 1990, it is the largest independent bookstore in rural France. It is a true place of passage for literature lovers. Located in the west of the Alpes de Haute Provence, the village of Banon is easily accessible by car. You can reach Banon via the D950 from ForcalquierA road that crosses typical Provençal landscapes. From the Count's City, it will take you about 30 minutes to reach Banon, while the journey from Manosque takes about forty minutes via the D5 and D105.
For those who prefer public transport, there are bus lines between Digne-les-Bains and Banon and between Manosque and Banon. From Marseille, take the bus line towards Pertuis, Pertuis – Les Granons and finally Les Granons - Banon
From the North: From the A7 motorway, take the Avignon Sud exit, towards Apt. From Apt, take the D22 then the D51 to Banon.

With over 300 dressed santons, this 80 m² nativity scene is one of the most beautiful and popular in Provence. The picturesque and joyful scenes of old-world Provence make this nativity scene a must-see experience. It is part of the living tradition of the "Ronde des Crèches" (Nativity Scene Round) around Forcalquier.
