Training in mapping and orientation in natural environments
Description
Together we will learn how to read IGN maps, as well as different orientation techniques (compass, azimuths, reading relief, etc.) in order to gain autonomy in a natural environment.
Learning to navigate without relying on your smartphone is a valuable skill that will serve you throughout your life. As a map trainer, I offer a variety of fun exercises tailored to each individual's age and skill level:
- orienteering course easy / medium / advanced levels
- route planning and decision making
- know how to use a magnetic compass
- know and use the different cartographic media (IGN and free software such as Open Street Map)
- manage the obstacles encountered well
