Lurs hilltop village, Bishops' promenade and the Way of St. James, Roman bridge, vestige of the Via Domitia... A route steeped in history!

Description

"Starting from Lurs, a designated 'village and town of character' and one of the most beautiful hilltop villages in Haute-Provence, this walk offers magnificent panoramas of the rolling plateaus of the Pays de Forcalquier, the Lure mountain, the olive groves, the Durance valley, the Valensole plateau, and the Alpine peaks. I love walking along the Lurs balcony trail in winter when the purity of the Provençal sky allows us to see so far and the snow on the mountaintops contrasts with the olive trees among which I stroll." Jean-Bernard Letemple, Compagnie des Grands Espaces.
