The tour of Lake Esparron is a country GR® that invites you to slow down the pace to feel and encounter the Verdon and its landscapes.

Description

The first of the five stages of this itinerant departure from Gréoux-les-Bains, is short and presents no particular technical difficulty except the climb on the crests of Jas de Laube which allows you to reach the village of Saint on the opposite side. -Martin-de-Brômes The 2nd day begins with crossing the Celto Ligurian oppidums and then walking on the hills where splendid views of the dam and Lake Esparron are revealed. The 3rd stage, easier than the previous one, allows you to easily reach the village of Quinson from Esparron-de-Verdon on the heights. The 4th stage, the longest and most technical, rushes into the lower gorges then goes up the left bank of the Verdon to the Mallasoque plateau. The route then passes the hamlets of Bernes then Rouvières, to finally reach the medieval village of Saint-Julien le Montagnier, perched on its rocky peak. The last stage, long and also physical, returns towards the banks of Lake Esparron. The passage overlooking the banks on the old canal allows you to reach Saint-Julien beach. Then the route goes back up to the heights, reaches the Notre Dame des Œufs chapel and finally reaches Gréoux-les-Bains, the end of the journey.
