In the heart of the Grandes Gorges du Verdon, the Blanc Martel trail will take you to magnificent landscapes and breathtaking viewpoints.

Description

From the Maline chalet, follow the GR®4 (white and red markings) and the road below. Descend towards the bottom of the gorges (many bends, stay on the path!). Take the Pas d'Issane stairs (tricky passage!). Reach the intersection.
1 - At the intersection, at the foot of the switchbacks, turn left towards Point Sublime (Sign). Follow the Verdon to the Guègue stairs (Go down carefully!). Continue on the path that rises above the Verdon, opposite the Baume aux Bœufs and reach a second intersection.
2 - At the intersection, turn left towards Point Sublime and continue to the Imbert gap (difficult climb!). Turn right at this intersection to reach the confluence between Verdon and Artuby (1 km round trip marked in yellow).
3 - The Imbert gap marks the halfway point. Before starting the descent, access to the viewpoint is possible by carefully climbing the rock on the right (tricky passage with handrail!). Go down the steep and narrow metal staircase of the Imbert gap, (tricky passage for people prone to vertigo!) which can be impressive (careful when crossing!). Go down to the edge of the Verdon by a few switchbacks, at the level of the Baume aux Chiens (technical passages!). From this point, continue walking before reaching the first tunnel, (110 m) then a second, much longer one (610 m). The exit of the last tunnel joins one of the narrowest sectors of the gorges, the Samson corridor. Go back down to the level of the river, then cross the Bau torrent by a small bridge and go back up towards the Samson viewpoint (turnaround area of a dead-end road).
4 - Cross the turning area to the left. Continue along the path above the road and follow the foot of the cliff (150 m elevation gain!). Come out onto the main road. From there, turn left towards Point Sublime.
