View of Lake Castillon. Early in the morning and on a clear day, from the summit you can see Corsica, the gap in the Verdon Gorges to the southwest, Mont-Chiran to the west and the highest point in the area, to the northwest, the Cheval Blanc massif.
Description
Take the path climbing above the road towards the summit of Crémon opposite the picnic area. When you reach a track, follow it uphill, describing a bend to the right. One hundred meters later, take the path on the left. Walk under the pine trees and reach the track again (cross it). The climb becomes less steep after that. Follow the track under the larches and reach a large flat area at the border between the sunny and shady slopes (spring below, behind the slope of the track).
Follow the track opposite for 50 m, then leave it on the left for a path climbing steadily up the slope parallel to the track. After crossing two ravines and describing a few bends, emerge at the Col de Demandolx at 1,5 km.
At the pass, follow the track to the left for 1 km. Then leave it on the slope to the right. Walk along the route for a while on the flat. Reach the ridge of the Crémon mountain.
Leave the main path and turn right onto a narrower path. Follow the route along the ridge and climb towards the summit. Cover the last 400 meters of elevation gain, first through the undergrowth, then across pastures. Continue to the summit of Cremon at the marker (1,760 m).
The return journey is made by the same route taken on the outward journey.
