The Massif des Monges observatory offers you a visit during the day and/or at night to discover and understand the nature of the different objects that make up the Universe.

Description

One-day and/or one-night visit (with or without overnight stay)
During the day :
- Visit to the observatory and presentation of the different instruments
- Observation of the sun through 2 types of instruments to visualize sunspots on the photosphere and also to observe plasma jets (prominences) in H-alpha light
At night:
- Journey through the night sky: presentation of the constellations of the season and their associated myths
- Observation of the Moon and the planets visible at the time in question, and explanation of the different formations and visible features
- Presentation of the different objects in the Universe and observation of the major types of celestial objects beyond the solar system

Free for under 6 years.

Visit to the observatory and observation of the Sun during the day (1 hour):
€10 / adult and €5 / child (from 6 years old)
Evening observation under the dome (3 hours):
€20/adult and €10/child (from 6 years old)
