This mountain bike tour, straddling the Alpes de Haute-Provence and the Alpes Maritimes, crosses three passes. The road winding through the larches is sublime and very pleasant to ride, although narrow...
Description
This ride covers over 4,600 meters of magical and diverse landscapes. An ideal playground for those who love the pleasure route.
The three passes of this loop will amaze you.
Head towards Uvernet-Fours and enter the magnificent Bachelard Gorges. After Bayasse, you'll be in the Mercantour National Park. Please drive slowly; the wild animals in this unspoiled natural area will thank you. Also, watch out for marmots; they love to sunbathe on the asphalt!
After Guillaumes, head for Couillole, a small pass in the Alpes-Maritimes with impressive landscapes.
In Saint-Sauveur-sur-Tinée, turn left towards the Cime de la Bonette, the highest road in Europe. At an altitude of 2,802 meters, the view is breathtaking!
