The passages for men and animals, carved by erosion in the limestone bars, are called "pas". Along this route you can meditate on the inscriptions of the work of Herman de Vries*, engraved in gold leaf on the stones.

Description

From the village of Entrages, take the path that starts opposite the church porch. Stay on the track until you turn right onto the path towards Les Courtiers, via the Portes d'Entrages (directional sign). 150 m further on, stay on the left. 10 m before the access path to the old house of Peyraud, look carefully: a first point Golden by Herman de Vries* (2004) is visible on an overhanging rock, on your right. With this extremely simple form, the artist offers a stopping point during the hike, and a starting point for reflection, even meditation.

At the junction, a few meters further down, take the small path on the left then immediately on the right which climbs through the box trees. At the entrance to the gap formed by the Portes d'Entrages, a second point ! It is visible overhanging the rock bars, on the left side of the trail, but is not accessible to hikers (fence).
Again, for the artist, the simplicity of the point forbids any interpretation, it captures the attention of the walker, to question him and invite him towards other thoughts. Whatever the place where one is and where one goes, point invites you to go further.

Enter the gates. From there and for 250m, to the bottom of the valley, the words of the work are distributed: what, why, from where, to where, always by herman de vries* (2004). Go looking for them! These four questions relating to the initiatory passage were inspired by the narrow passage of the Portes d'Entrages and once again invite reflection.

*we respect the artist's wish not to use capital letters, a form of hierarchy
