Emblematic and well-established in the gorges, the Verdon vultures deserve to be better known. At Raoul Rafting, our passion for wildlife has led us to create excursions dedicated to observing these large birds of prey.

Description

History, biology, habitat, reproduction and even interactions with humans: fascinating subjects to learn more about one of the emblematic wild species of the Verdon Gorges.
Gliders, gregarious, natural scavengers par excellence, equipped with highly developed eyesight and an anatomy that leaves nothing to chance, these birds have everything to pique our curiosity. For the greatest pleasure of the eyes, observing them is a gateway to understanding them.

Their history, biology, long reproductive period, interactions with humans, and group lifestyles are all fascinating topics to discover. What better way to do it than by their side, at strategic observation points with suitable observation equipment?
Taking the time to observe the Vultures often means encountering other species of birds nesting on cliffs: Ravens, Peregrine Falcons, Golden Eagles, Red-billed Choughs or even Alpine Swifts, sedentary or only present in the summer, these birds are just as fascinating.
