Description

In the heart of nature and a few kilometers from the city center (5km) of Digne les Bains: the Gaubert lake is located in the Valadier district in the Gaubert plan next to the Christophe Ménard rugby stadium.
Fishing with a rod and line is permitted only; fishing with spoons and lures is prohibited.
The fish in the lake are mainly white fish (Carp, Grass Carp, Tench, Bream, Roach, Perch, Rook, Crucian Carp, Bream…) with occasional releases of Rainbow Trout.

Description
For a family walk or a fishing trip, Lake Gaubert is a great place to relax, in direct contact with nature.

This lake was created by the fishing association AAPPMA "La Bléone" to allow its members to improve their skills and to welcome younger generations through its fishing school and nature fishing workshops for adults and children. It has since become a peaceful spot, popular with walkers.
For several years now, the association has operated a Fishing and River Center there to raise public awareness and promote the Bléone River, whose basin (rivers and streams, riparian forests and wetlands) is made up of very rich habitats for numerous species: trout, bullheads, minnows, barbel, crayfish, beavers, and European bee-eaters. The Bléone is relatively untouched by development, which allows it to maintain a fairly natural dynamic and a beautiful braided profile.
Details regarding animals: Dog owners must comply with the specific regulations of the lake (Municipal Order No. 17-305 of April 13, 2017), dogs must be kept on a leash.
Other details
The lake is open to the public, and picnic tables and benches are available around the lake. Anglers must have a departmental or interdepartmental fishing license.
The path along the lake is reserved exclusively for fishermen, who have paid a fishing fee; bicycles are absolutely prohibited.
