
This pleasant circuit winds along roads flooded with lavender and takes you from village to village to discover the emblematic landscapes of Provence.
Description
From Manosque, take the D907 road, then
Continue along the D6 to reach the village of Valensole, the Provençal lavender capital. This village perched in the heart of lavender fields immerses you in this flowery, colorful, and fragrant world, so specific to Provence. Lavender Festival, local lavender products, distilleries... are all to be discovered during your stopover in Valensole, one of the largest communes in the department.
Continue the route along the D8 and D953 to reach Puimoisson. Here, the lavender fields stretch as far as the eye can see. Continue the circuit along the D953 towards Riez, a village classified as a "City of Character". Enjoy
of this stopover to discover the Roman remains bearing witness to the long past of Riez.
The route continues along the D952 and the discovery of Allemagne-en-Provence. This small village has a very well-preserved Renaissance-style castle.
Continuing on the D952, you arrive at Saint-Martin-de-Brômes and then you reach Gréoux-les-Bains, a charming spa resort that proudly sits on its hill around its so-called Templar castle. The D82 and D907 will allow you to return towards Manosque by winding a few more kilometers on the long stretches of the Valensole Plateau.
