Description
From Manosque, take the D907 then the
D82 towards Gréoux-les-Bains, a typical Provençal village, very lively during the summer season and the 3rd spa resort in France.
Continue towards the small village of Saint-Martin de Brômes
via the D952 then follow the direction of Allemagne-en-Provence. This village has a rich historical heritage thanks to its Renaissance castle.
Then continue this circuit by the D15 roads
and D82, towards Esparron-de-Verdon.
A magnificent view of the lake awaits you as soon as you arrive in the village.
There are numerous parking lots available (be careful, they fill up quickly during high season).
At the foot of the village of Esparron-de-Verdon, discover this lake, with
coves, cliffs and preserved forest.
An exceptional place born from the construction of the
EDF dam, 50 years ago, which nevertheless seems to have always been part of the landscape.
You can take advantage of your stop in Esparron-de-Verdon to
discover this small village, admire its castle, but
especially to bathe in the clear waters
of the Verdon. Electric boats, canoes, surfboards
sails... are waiting for you, at the water's edge for you
drive to the heart of the lake, at the foot of the dam or in
the Basses-Gorges, up to the Quinson lake.
Then take the D315 and D952 to return directly to Gréoux-les-Bains. This road overlooks Lake Esparron-de-Verdon and offers
many magnificent viewpoints. A stop is
possible on a belvedere, a little before the dam.
Cross Gréoux-les-Bains then return to Manosque via the D82 and the D907.
