"Lake Esparron-de-Verdon" Tourist Route: Discover Lake Esparron. A pleasant circuit combining cultural and natural heritage, exploring the turquoise waters of the Verdon.

Description

At the foot of the village of Esparron-de-Verdon, discover this lake, with its coves, cliffs and preserved forest.
An exceptional place born from the construction of the EDF dam 50 years ago, which nevertheless seems to have always been part of the landscape.

Itinerary:
Departure from Gréoux-les-Bains, a typical Provençal village, very lively during the summer season and the 3rd spa resort in France.

Continue towards the small village of Saint-Martin de Brômes via the D952 then follow the signs for Allemagne-en-Provence. This village has a rich history thanks to its Renaissance castle.

• Archaeological Museum

Then continue this circuit by the D15 and D82 roads, towards Esparron-de-Verdon. A magnificent view of the lake awaits you as soon as you arrive in the village. Numerous parking lots are at your disposal (be careful, they fill up quickly in high season). You can take advantage of your stop in Esparron-de-Verdon to discover this small village, admire its castle, but especially to swim in the clear waters of the Verdon. Electric boats, canoes, windsurfers... await you, at the water's edge to take you to the heart of the lake, to the foot of the dam or in the Basses-Gorges, to the Quinson lake.
