This tour will take you to discover the hilltop village of Châteauneuf, abandoned since the end of the 19th century.
Description
From the school, head towards Sisteron, after 50 m, turn right. Follow the track that crosses the agricultural plain. After a short climb, lined with broom, at a flat area, turn left towards the sheepfold that you can see 100 m away. Continue along a small path on the hillside. It passes under the Saint-Antoine chapel and ends at the southern end of the village. The return begins at the ruined mill (at the northern end) and reaches Châteauneuf along olive groves, fields and scrubland.
