Poetic walk on the Jean Proal circuit

This writer, born in Seyne-les-Alpes, traveled his region, discovering the flora and fauna but also the deep soul of the mountain farmers he met. His works are imbued with his contacts with nature and the people of the Pays de Seyne and more particularly, the hamlet of Sainte-Rose. Where enthusiasts from the Fort et Patrimoine association have redeveloped an old, forgotten path for you and offer you a commented walk, interspersed with some readings. A real return to basics which will allow you to listen, feel, look… You will learn a lot about this magnificent environment, this untouched nature.

“If the path is still well dug by the generations who took it, the “countrysides” and the farms are still surrounded by their old walls welded together by moss. The old path can speak to anyone who will listen. A little breath of wind and the beeches and birches will bend, the meadows will undulate. Bees and butterflies will be celebrating in the undergrowth or in the meadows. From martagon lilies to daisies, from daffodils to ranunculus, an infinite variety of orchids, from the most humble to the most sophisticated, the flowers follow one another throughout the summer. This hike is a treat for botany lovers. Up there, the views follow one another. And everywhere, we feel a presence... Is it an animal hiding? Or perhaps the soul of a little boy named Jean, who remained clinging to a cloud above Sainte-Rose..."

Required equipment: hiking shoes, water, and poles recommended. Lightweight rain gear is also recommended.
