During this hike, forests, clearings, meadows and hamlets are all landscapes that allow you to discover the rural side of the Luberon massif hinterland.
Description
From the characterful village of Ongles, the trail crosses fields, meadows, and small woods to climb to a small forest plateau. The return journey takes place in a bucolic atmosphere through hamlets and farms dotted among the meadows and crops.
Passage near the castle of Ongles decorated with mascarons (sculpted masks of a fantastic nature) and the church (17th century), then to the east, the ruins of Vière, a primitive site.
As you leave the village, you'll find two dovecotes of different styles. A view of the Ongles Rock and the L'Occitane lavender distillery. The route partly follows the route of an ancient Roman road.
