This historical route, located on the Way of St. James, allows you to discover Lurs, classified as a "village and town of character", the Bishops' promenade leading to the Notre-Dame de Vie chapel and the ancient Roman Bridge.

Description

The panoramas over the Durance valley and the Forcalquier region are breathtaking.
The trail descends into the Lurs woods, following a forest track to the Roman bridge of Ganagobie (2nd century AD). Possible connection with the GR653D (Road to Santiago de Compostela and Rome) which climbs to the priory of Ganagobie. The trail then climbs back towards the village of Lurs through woods and olive groves on the Durance Valley side.
