Description
From the village of Annot, take the Route de Colle-Basse and climb up to the Palluy track. The route alternates between road and trail (yellow markings). This is an opportunity to discover the Annot motocross tracks. From the track, continue the climb following the direction of the Chemin de Ceinture, which is reached by a small path that rises in regular hairpin bends in a pine forest. Once you reach the Chemin de Ceinture, turn right towards the Roncharel gîte and Colle Basse. Then follow the GR de pays, (yellow/red markings) for about 2.5 km. This path runs along the hillside and crosses several small successive ravines, until it emerges at the Roncharel refuge. Cross the road, take the path that rises opposite (marked in yellow) to the Basse d'Annot at an altitude of 1491m. Take the ridge on the right up to the Basse d'Allons at 1495 m (yellow / red markings), then leave it by the path which descends on your right, towards Le Fugeret. The path begins with a fairly steep descent in small hairpins in a forest composed mainly of beeches and large oaks. The slope becomes significantly steeper in the Ravin de Roncharel, and you then progress through a small scree slope. The path then passes through the forest again and finally reaches the captured spring of Roncharel. Below the spring, the path becomes much less steep and descends gradually towards Le Fugeret. It runs along the side of the slope, which is very pleasant, and crosses a slightly more marly terrain at the level of the ravine of La Villette (presence of a small rockfall), continue to descend and pass a small area where you can see limestone tuff. At this level, the view of the village of Le Fugeret is remarkable. The path then ends with a few small hairpin bends before joining the Allons path. This leads to the village center and the Pont du Fugeret located at an altitude of 830m.
