A loop that offers a short climb through the forest, in the shade of the laburnums and a panorama of the village of Colmars-les-Alpes.

Description

From the Ratery car park, take the yellow-marked path on the right, which will lead you to the Saint-Jean chapel. Its square marks the end of the procession for the patronal feast of Saint-Jean Baptiste in June. Also admire the magnificent laburnums that cover the hillside in spring. From the chapel, continue the path west towards the Bois de la Coletta, from where you can enjoy the view of the village of Colmars-les-Alpes.
Begin the descent into the Chabanier ravine. The trail crosses the RD2, before joining the GR de Pays Tour du Haut-Verdon. Turn right and head towards the Ratery car park, the starting point of the route.

Don't hesitate to take a break at the Ratéry chalet to eat or stay in the yurt.
