Description
From the Pénitents car park (1,280 m), not far from the church, at the bottom of the car park, take the road to the right to leave the village and reach a crossroads marked by an oratory. Yellow markings.
At the signpost labeled La Tête (1,300 m), turn right uphill, join a road and cross it to continue climbing on a path lined with hedges. After a few bends, you will come out onto a forest track. Follow it to the right for 300 meters, then climb left onto a path and climb up to a crossroads.
At the Bois du Puy post (1,490 m), go up to the left. After a cross, follow the logging road for 200 m then turn left. Gradually emerge from the forest cover and reach the Croix du Puy through a meadow.
At the Croix du Puy post (1,668 m), begin the descent on the southern slope to a crossroads. Turn left, pass close to a ruin then descend in switchbacks through black earth to a new crossroads.
At the Ravin de Rioufleiran post (1,375 m), leave the GR de pays marked in yellow and red to follow the yellow markings on the left. Cross several ravines and reach the "La Tête" post again. Go down to the right to return to the starting point by the route taken on the outward journey.
