Description

A marked cycle route that traces the region's past. From "Roman" Riez, the oldest city in the Alpes de Haute-Provence, cycle through lavender fields to Puimoisson and then Moustiers-Sainte-Marie.

Climb up to the plateau via the famous "16%" then enjoy the view of Lake Sainte-Croix during a well-deserved break. Then head to Roumoules and its castles, before descending back to Riez.

Recommended period: spring and autumn. This route is strongly discouraged during the summer season due to traffic and high temperatures.
