This hiking trail runs along the ridges of the Lure Mountains. Its goal is to provide you with educational and fun information about the solar system.
Description
It starts with Station Soleil, located near the Le Caillou reception building, and continues for 5,5 km with 8 other stations, each dedicated to a planet.
It passes by the stele of Godefroy Wendelin, a Flemish scholar from the beginning of the 17th century who was the first to recognize the exceptional interest of the Lure mountain as a site for astronomical observation, then by the orientation table and then by the summit of Lure and the ridge line to the Pas de la Graille.
Here is the last station dedicated to Neptune, the planet furthest from the Sun.
(Possibility of returning by taking the same path in the opposite direction: duration 5 hours; elevation gain 600m; distance 11km)
Variation: A family variation of this circuit is possible after the "Jupiter" station. Take the Morteiron summit on your right. Duration 1h30 - 3km - 150m elevation gain.
