Ubaye Mountains: sled dogs

Dog sledding and snowshoeing
To begin, a short, easy one-hour snowshoe walk through the woods and along a frozen river: ice crystals, signs of the presence of deer or roe deer and possible sightings of chamois.
Next, you'll board a musher-driven sled pulled by 8 to 10 Siberian Huskies for a 20-25 minute ride. You'll have time to take photos and pet the dogs to thank them. This activity is offered in the morning to make the most of the sunshine. A visit to the kennel with the pack of 100 dogs is included.
Meet at 9am in front of the Maison des Produits de Pays in Jausiers, return around 12:15pm.

Dog sledding and a snack around the fire
Sled ride baptism during the last outing of the day with a team of 8 to 10 Siberian Huskies for a 20 to 25 minute ride.
Witness the unharnessing of the dogs before warming up with a homemade snack in the Finnish Kota for an unusual experience in this traditional wooden hut with its central fireplace. Enjoy a snack and storytelling around the fire for a special moment surrounded by this pack of 100 dogs. Ideal for families with young children. Kennel tour included.
Meet at 15pm in front of the Maison des Produits de Pays in Jausiers, return around 18pm.

Cani-snowshoes
Wearing snowshoes or crampons, you'll be connected by a harness and leash to a Husky for a nature walk on flat terrain. We'll choose a companion for you based on your fitness level, one you'll get along with well. For your dog, it will be a real recreational experience; for you, a special moment to share with your canine companion. The walk lasts a maximum of 1 hour and 15 minutes and includes explanations and a full tour of the kennel. Children will be paired with an adult.
Meet at 9:15 am in front of the Maison des Produits de Pays in Jausiers, return around 12:15 pm.
