This route takes you north along the Adret slope of the first Baronnies mountains and south along the Ubac slope of the Lure mountain. A red route that will take you from the sunny side to the cool side of the Lure mountain.
Description
Starting from Noyers-sur-Jabron you will cross the ruins of the old village with its 11th century church, listed as a Historic Monument, then pass by the 16th century Chapel of St Claude before descending to the hamlet of St Martin. In St Vincent-sur-Jabron you can fill your water bottles at the fountain before tackling the long climb of the Pas de Parandier. After the Jas de Madame forest lodge you will descend to Noyers via the Pas des Portes and its man-made cobblestone path.
This very sporty route can be done in any season from Noyers-sur-Jabron or St Vincent-sur-Jabron (HERE). However, the Cavalets passage, after the Pas de Parandier, can be difficult in stormy weather.
Water supply: Noyers, the old village, St Vincent
Through our practice, it is essential to respect the work of farmers, other operators and owners who welcome us onto their land:
To prevent herds from escaping, close all electric fences securely and do not damage them!
Also, do not disturb the herds, greet people you meet with a friendly "hello", and of course bring back all your rubbish! Do not cut across the routes through the meadows, and do not picnic either!
