Departing from the Maison de Pays du Jabron or Montfroc, you will reach the Larran Summit (1379 m) via the Pas de Redortier. This easy route is ideal in the warmer months as it is largely in the shade. The ridge is often snow-covered in winter.
Description
On site, a breathtaking view of the Ventoux, the Ecrins and the Contadour will allow you to breathe a little. A small detour via the Jas des Agneaux will allow you to discover a sheepfold built of dry stone (lauzes). The return is via the Col de la Roche on a winding path that descends through the middle of a beech forest.
Water supply: Les Omergues, Montfroc
Through our practice, it is essential to respect the work of farmers, other operators and owners who welcome us onto their land:
To prevent herds from escaping, close all electric fences securely and do not damage them!
Also, do not disturb the herds, greet people you meet with a friendly "hello", and of course bring back all your rubbish! Do not cut across the routes through the meadows, and do not picnic either!
WARNING: On the ridge between Pas de Redortier and Col de la Roche, you may encounter "Patous" dogs. Be very careful as they are aggressive.
