Passionate about flora and fauna, Jean Baronian, then a member of the Tourist Office, created the botanical trail around the swimming lake in 2000. Today, signs and markers with QR codes will help you discover the local treasures.
Description
Here there is a riverside forest along the Durance rivers to the east and the Asse to the south: it is called riparian forest.
Species grow here naturally (spontaneously) such as poplars, willows, alders, etc.
There are also planted species, such as the lime tree or the hackberry tree, which have adapted to the environment.
Others appeared thanks to a seed or a stone brought here and there by birds (the cherry plum tree): the subspontaneous.
You'll discover the animals that live here, spend some time here, or are just passing through. Listen to the birdsong, the frogs, the bees, the sound of running water, the wind rustling the leaves. Observe the butterflies, the dragonflies, the animals and their tracks... A whole biodiversity will be revealed to you throughout this walk.
