Monte Carlo Rally
Generations of drivers have passed through the winding roads of the department. The Monte Carlo Rally's passage through the Col de Fontbelle, between Sisteron and Thoard, is one of the legendary special stages of this international event.
94th Monte-Carlo Automobile Rally
This year, the rally takes place from Thursday 22 to Sunday 25 January 2026. It will be the inaugural round of the 2026 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC).
The special stages to follow in the Alpes de Haute Provence
- Thursday January 22 2026 : 2 special stages will take place in the department.
- Esclangon / Seyne (ES 2 – 23,48 km – 18:03 p.m.)
- and Vaumeilh / Claret (ES 3 – 15,20 km – 19:51 p.m.) - Back in the Alpes de Haute Provence, Saturday January 24 2025, with a total of 78,22 timed kilometers. On the program, the new event of:
- La Bréole / Bellaffaires via Col des Garcinets (ES 10/12 – 30,10 km – 08h05/12h05), to be covered twice,
- and the resumption of Vaumeilh / Claret in daytime mode (SS 11 – 15,20 km – 09:18)
Digne-les-Bains
Digne-les-Bains is a land of rallying and motorsports! Indeed, since 1966, 33 WRC Monte-Carlo rounds have passed through the capital city of the Alpes de Haute Provence.
