The 4th edition of the Digne-les-Bains Book Fair returns next May. Spotlight on the patron of this edition: Pierre Assouline.
The detailed program is attached as a PDF.
Description
In Alexandra David-Neel's country, around thirty writers will be present, including specialists on India (Theme 2026) such as Irène Frain, Jean-Claude Perrier and Cécile Guilbert.
Alongside Pierre Assouline, the Salon's guest of honor, who is publishing a manifesto, "Hold On: How Books Give Us Hope" (Robert Laffont), will be novelists and short story writers (Véronique Olmi, Gilles Paris, Macha Méril, etc.), television journalists publishing investigative works this year (Patrice Duhamel, Valérie Benaïm, and Franz-Olivier Giesbert), or those venturing into fiction (Nathalie Saint-Cricq). In the thriller and crime fiction section, which is well represented, will be authors such as Jérôme Loubry, Angelina Delcroix, Jean-Luc Bizien, and Jérôme Carpentier. Also featured in their respective genres are authors like Vladimir Fedorovski, Boris Cyrulnik, Jack Meurant, and Monsignor Emmanuel Gobilliard.
Of course, children's books and comics will also be given a large place, as well as graphic novels with a theme of travel, exploration and adventure, the subject of the Alexandra David-Neel literary prize organized by the City of Digne-les-Bains for its second edition.
Exhibitions, workshops, book signings, and numerous ongoing debates throughout these two days will punctuate this literary event (free entry), a highlight of the cultural year in Digne-les-Bains.
