The "Friends of Mées" association has restored a dovecote with its original architecture in the Moulin Fortuné Arizzi fortified town. A mini-ecomuseum tells the story of these dovecotes, and you can admire the pigeons cooing freely.
Description
The Moulin Fortuné Arizzi produces extra virgin olive oil. The dovecote is the centerpiece of the mill and the emblem of its logo. A shop offers the estate's extra virgin olive oil as well as a wide assortment of regional products.
This eco-museum traces the history of pigeons and dovecotes in Haute-Provence, considered in past centuries as a valuable supplement to food and invites you to discover through various panels, the different types of dovecotes typical of the department.
