Come and discover a brand new cultural venue recently opened at Seyne : Micro-folie!
A SeyneThe Micro-folie is open to the general public and free of charge every Wednesday from 9am to 12pm and from 14pm to 17pm and on the 1st Saturday of the month.
On Thursdays, the venue is dedicated to school groups in order to offer educational mediation around art and culture to younger children.
Come and discover a selection of works from the greatest French museums, explained by Fanny, the Micro-Folie's mediator. For an even more immersive experience, you can try out virtual reality headsets or have fun with cultural and educational games from the games library.
Une exposition sur "La Voix/e des anciens" vous sera présentée dans la salle de la micro-folie, mettant en avant les diverses vies de nos habitants les plus anciens à Seyne, et témoignant de leur passé et de l'évolution du village au cours du dernier siècle.
Cette Micro-folie, située au 3eme étage de la Maison de pays sur la place d'Armes à Seyne is an innovative cultural space that allows everyone to access culture and the works of major museums. By using digital tools and interactive devices, it provides access to collections from major institutions, without the need to travel to large cities.
Finally, a "Fablab" workshop will take place every other Wednesday evening, starting January 28th, from 17:30 pm to 19:30 pm. Led by curious and motivated volunteers eager to share knowledge and skills, this fabrication laboratory allows participants to create and experiment while learning to use digital machines such as a 3D printer, a digital embroidery machine, a cutting machine, and other digital equipment. In partnership with the Micro-Folie, these Fablab workshops foster dialogue between artistic, technological, and experimental creation, and are part of a process of sharing know-how and mutual support, promoting autonomy, creativity, and local innovation.
In short, this Micro-Folie is a true community hub, fostering discovery, curiosity, and cultural exchange at the heart of local communities. This initiative, launched by the city council, is coordinated by La Villette, a major cultural institution in Paris, in partnership with more than a dozen leading national and international cultural organizations, and supported by the French Ministry of Culture. The project has received funding from the French government and the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department.
