Built in 1911 on Avenue de la Libération for Joseph Jacques (partner in the Clemente Jacques stores in Mexico City), the Villa Le Châtelet is the work of the Grenoble-based architects Joseph Morard and Marius Bonnat.
Description
It reproduces the architectural type inaugurated in the valley by Francis Girard, halfway between the picturesque eclecticism always appreciated and the more rational research which emerged in these years immediately before the war. The Châtelet thus faithfully reproduces the design of the villa L'Abri completed a year earlier, in a simplified decorative version. The secondary elements such as dormers and ironwork of the veranda are treated economically.
