Located in Haute Provence, a center of resistance, this museum is dedicated to all those who refused defeat and resumed the fight as soon as General De Gaulle called. Library and archives available by appointment only.
Description
He represents the entire Resistance objectively, without prejudice as to its different currents.
The museum exhibits a wealth of objects, documents, and authentic photos, some of which are extremely rare. Several life-size reconstructions of scenes from underground life and life in the maquis enhance the visit. This museum aims to be a European reference, and its library and archive center are additional educational tools. Out of respect for the victims of this period, the representation of unbearable and overly familiar images has been avoided, to make the visit enjoyable for families, during the holidays where, in addition to the Provençal sun, one will keep a good memory of having discovered something new.
